Fair Trade Super Heros - eTwinning

In this eTwinning project students from Austrian and Croatian schools will cooperate creating stories around 4 Faire Trade Super Heros. They will describe super heros’ adventures in endangered world they live in and how these super heros try to teach the civilisation of their world how to live a sustainable life. The super heros will have special powers and skills which they can use during their adventures protecting the world and people.
 
 
Each Fair Trade Super Hero will be related to one of the four elements: water, fire, air and earth.
The main aim of this project is to introduce a modern didactic and methodological change in language classes. With this project students should use their language and ICT knowledge in a virtual environment cooperating with students from other European countries. During this project students will acquire and develop a wide range of skills: communicative skills, lingusistic skills, ICT skills, project management skills, writing skills, cultural and social skills, citizenship skills and they will get in connection with the European idea and institutions.
Another main idea is it to combine storytelling with actual environmental issues and topics students can independently treat without the leadership of the teachers. For this reason this project will have formal, informal and non-formal teaching sessions. Teachers will introduce students how to write a good story (formal session). Non-formal sessions will have a certain structure in which students work on their stories using their theoretical knowledge in a relaxed and independent way. In informal working sessions students will work on the stories outside school without the guidance of a teacher.

Project 2 
Working Process:
1. Ice-Breaking activity: Students write self-description and get to know each other.
2. Creation and descripton of 4 Fair Trade Super Heros related to the 4 elements and 4 colours: Water (Dark Blue) / Earth (Green) / Air (Light Blue) / Fire (Red)
3. Students will create an imaginary world with 4 continents
4. Descriptions of Super Heros will be written and published on a website.
5. Chapter 2: stories of Chapter 1 are continued by all students – 2 continuations for each Super Hero are selected by the students
6. Chapter 3 : stories of Chapter 2 will be continued – 2 continuations for each Super Hero are selected
7. Chapter 4 : stories of Chapter 3 will be continued – 2 continuations for each Super Hero are selected
8. Chapter 5 : stories of Chapter 4 will be continued – 2 continuations for each Super Hero are selected
The idea of this writing activities is that students will create for each Super Hero stories with different content. In the end there will be a lot of different stories, as students always only write a continuation of the unfinished text they will get. This means that students have to read the text they will receive from their partner country and then they will continue the story and exchange their story again.
